Morpheus8
Fractional Radio-Frequency MicroNeedling

Morpheus8 is an increasingly popular, FDA approved, minimally-invasive Radio Frequency (RF) Microneedling device capable of achieving surgical results without surgery or injection of any artificial products.

How does it work?

A “stamp” of fine gold-coated needles is quickly extended into the skin at very precise depths (1-4mm) to target different layers of the skin. A controlled Radio Frequency (RF) energy is passed between only the very tips of the needles to stimulate the skin repair process. Depending on your desired result, the skin surface, deeper wrinkling layer, or deepest adipose (fat) layers can be targeted.

What does Morpheus8 do?

It is hands-down the best non-surgical treatment for loose or sagging skin. It is particularly helpful for loose skin around the eyes and the jowls of the lower face and neck. Though this technology can safely be used anywhere on the body including arms, legs, and abdomen.

Morpheus8 also treats
  • Fine lines and wrinkles

  • Scars (acne, surgical, etc)

  • Stretch marks

  • Improve skin texture and pigmentation

  • Unwanted pockets of fat, such as in jowls or under the chin

Is Morpheus8 right for me?

Morpheus8 is safe for all skin-types.  Typical candidates are ages 30-60, but is safe for all adults. Typical treatment packages consist of 3 sessions about 4-6 weeks apart, but will be personalized at your consultation appointment. Ideally, your consultation will happen 1-2 weeks before you intend to start treatment so we can optimize your skincare.

If you have a true gold allergy, Morpheus8 may not be right for you. If you are allergic or strongly resistant to lidocaine, this can make the treatment more difficult.

What should I expect during the treatment?

Your face will be thoroughly cleaned and it is best to arrive without any make-up on. There are two general options for pain control to help with any discomfort.

  1. Anesthetic cream - this would be applied to the entire treatment area for 45 minutes and then washed off of your face. This takes away some but not all of the discomfort. For some people, they tolerate the treatment with this step only.

  2. Anesthetic injection - small needles are used to place lidocaine (like novocaine) directly to the nerve so most of the discomfort is removed.

What should I expect after the treatment?

Your skin will feel like it is sunburnt.. Soothing topical cream is applied afterwards., and you'll be sent home with aftercare instructions.. It is recommended you wash your face in the morning with a gentle cleanser and wait 24 hours before applying makeup. Sun protection is especially important while you are healing. Its safe to go back to work immediately, though some people prefer to take the next day off.

How long do results last?

Your body repairs and rejuvenates the skin, starting in a few weeks, though results keep improving for months and last years! Results get better with time!
